Bach Anthology 2009
BWV 18 Just as the showers
BWV 23 Thou, very God and David's son

BWV 135 Ah Lord, me a poor sinner
BWV 155 My God, how long, how long then?
BWV 161 Come, O death, thou sweetest hour
BWV 180 Deck thyself, O soul beloved
BWV 191 Glory be to God on high
BWV 23 Thou, very God and David's son
BWV 26 Ah, how fleeting, ah, how empty
BWV 34 O fire everlasting, O fountain of loving
BWV 35 Soul with spirit is bewildered
BWV 42 That evening, though, of the very same Sabbath
BWV 135 Ah Lord, me a poor sinner
BWV 155 My God, how long, how long then?

The reflection lecture on the cantata text is a fundamental part of every concert evening of the J. S. Bach Foundation. They are held by interesting personalities from the business and cultural worlds, politics, science and religion, who express their personal and contemporary view about the baroque texts written by various poets and theologians. Every year, the reflection lectures are collected and published together with the cantata texts as well as the theological references in the form of a Bach Anthology.
